<div important>WARNING: When using OMERO-DropBox, do not overwrite or modify any image files (e.g. Leica LIF-Files) once they are residing in the DropBox folder!

Every time you do this, another image import will be triggered, leading to duplicates of your already saved images in the OMERO-Database. In the worst case scenario, this can also corrupt your data. If you want to frequently save during your microscope sessions, save the data inside your home directory first - usually H:\ - then move it over to the DropBox folder - usually X:\ - at the very end of your session.

Once your images are successfully uploaded to OMERO, you may safely delete them from your DropBox. This will not affect the images on OMERO in any way and does not count as overwrite or modification.</div>

<div alert>Do not use any non English special characters like öäüß²³µ, etc. in file names, until this message disappears from the Wiki. There is a bug in the current OMERO versions (v5.1.0 & v5.1.1) that will crash the DropBox-Uploader in case anyone tries to upload a file containing non-ASCII characters. A fix for this should be released with OMERO v5.1.2.</div>
