Description
rheasilvia features basic Ubuntu LTS 14.04.4 server setup which only allows for SSH access of a dedicated backup user “backup” and administrators. The SSDs are used to mount the root directory /
while the large RAID 6 array, which currently supplies 29 TiB of space, is mounted (mirroring romulus) at /srv
.
Backups are transferred from romulus via encrypted SSH connections over port 20 using the backup user. Currently, this is done by both the rsync backups and the Duplicity backups. All backups end up in subdirectories of /srv/backups
.
