In order to establish a safe and efficient research environment, the following steps are mandatory for new users at the OICE:

1. Contact Tristan Nowak (Tristan.Nowak@fau.de) to request an account in the OICE's single sign-on system, which is comprised of a variety of IT services, including this wiki.
2. Request an appointment with Ralf Palmisano or an authorized staff member to receive an introduction to the OICE premises, including its lab area and safety regulations.
3. If you plan to bring samples to the OICE which fall under S1- or S2-regulations, you have to contact OICE staff prior to begin of work.
4. S1 work requires proof that the future user is attending the annual saftey instruction regarding biological, GenTech and laboratory safety regulations within his department
