OICE is fully acknowledged by the DFG. This price regulations are in full accordance with the DFG rules. You can ask for the covering of costs in grant applications on th ebasis of th egiven prces. Or you get in touch with a member of staff beforehand.

We aim to teach and educate our users to become autonomous researchers. However in the beginning the service support is free of charge.
If you experience problems or have some trouble or a question, please talk to a member of staff, we will not debit this kind of support.
Whereas we reserve the right to account you for longer individual support by a member of staff after an appropriate initial period. The usage of OICE equipment is currently priced as follows:

Calculation:
The first hour is always calculated in full for all systems. Systems equipped with an online tracker will thereafter be billed on the exact usage time by the minute. Systems without a usage tracker will be billed in intervals of 30 minutes. Multiphoton devices have to be booked for a minimum of 2 hours. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. and accounted with 100 %, out-of-office hours 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. - 8 a.m. will be charged with 75 %. From 9 p.m. - 7 a.m. there is a deduction of 75 %, if there is an accumulated usage of 6 hours (charged at 75 % and/or 100 %) prior or after the night hours (period can be split). Otherwise night hours are charged with 50 5 of the regular pricing.

External users pay two times the standard hourly rates.

The 1st hour will always be accounted full. Single photon microscopes need to be booked for at least one hour. Multi-photon microscopes need to be booked at least for two hours.
